Linna Hotel, a hotel of high international standard, welcomes you to a distinctive setting. Architecturally, Linna Hotel, is one of the finest examples of Finnish art nouveau or jugend style. The exceptionality of this fine hotel is visible already in the façade, which features finely crafted details reflecting national romanticism and history dating back over a century. This granite fortress, a bold architectural statement in its day, has been refurbished into a modern hotel. Hotel Linna is able to offer its guests every modern convenience, whilst paying due deference to its rich cultural heritage.
Linna Hotel has long been known as Vanha Poli (Old Poly). Designed by architects Walther Thomé and Karl Lundahl, the building was opened on 31 October 1903. Today, the building is considered as one of Finland’s finest examples of Finnish jugend, national romanticism. |
